Reclaimed Compound

Welcome to my garden! My garden is an enclosed, raised bed garden, containing eight raised bed rows about 40-foot long each. I am most proud of my garden ‘compound’ in that it is 90% made out of reclaimed and repurposed wood, cut cedar posts, cut saplings, and repurposed fencing. Lots of time and energy have been spent ‘growing’ my compound and time spent enjoying it too!! I love the time spent with God, His creations, and the solitude found within. I love to grab hold of the dirt and take a deep breath in Springtime knowing what is surely to come. I grow about one hundred tomato plants, around 40 cucumber plants, numerous asparagus plants currently at two, three, and four years, Jumbo Virginia peanuts, a carrot patch, early peas, cabbage, spinach, collards, and have even tried my hand at Mouse melons, which are very unique and petite! Time spent in the garden is never wasted! There is always something needing to be done, whether it is weeding, watering, composting, planting, picking, nourishing, staking, you name it, and it’s done! I never get tired of time spent in my garden. It is a joy every day, and every season!
